Tasting notes Strong Fruity tea. Perfect for breakfast and good with milk. Background Yunnan is one of the most famous tea growing provinces in China. It is the home of two important teas; Pu-Erh and Golden Yunnan. Yunnan is situated in the south west of China. And some of the oldest examples of true wild tea trees can be found here, in large forests that stretch across the north of Vietnam up into China. The teas from these trees are famous for their superior large leaf and well formed flavours never really found in modern tea cultivars. Our Golden Yunnan is grown on small tea gardens. Many of which do not use electricity. The tea bush used is a close cultivar of the original tea trees found in the area. No lover of Black tea especially strong Black tea should pass Golden Yunnan by. It offers something extra to an ordinary black tea, a fruitiness, almost dry taste that quickly becomes a favourite. Perfect preparation Treat as any Black tea. Use the same method as you would for your normal tea. Add boiling water to three teaspoons of dried tea in a half litre teapot. Brew for between three to six minutes. This tea is perfect with milk and will produce a classic breakfast tea. Personally I drink this tea without milk in the afternoon. It is especially good with light lunches, or salted meats.
