Tasting notes Almond, light , refreshing , fine with excellent body and aromatic textures. Background Without question this is my must have Black Tea. I have this Darjeeling for breakfast almost everyday. Especially in the summer when the fine almond scents lend themselves perfectly to cool warm mornings. I never drink this tea with milk or with food, it is drunk alone and in quiet. Gopaldhara estate is situated at around 6000ft on the foothills of the Himalayas. This estate has been building a good reputation to be compared with the best estates in Darjeeling. I have been tasting these teas for 5 years now. The first thing to point out with this estate is the consistent quality they produce, it is not that some years are not better, I have just finished my 2004 FF and miss it greatly. But the fact of the taste being always well balanced and fine. Means Gopaldhara is easily one of the best and most of consistent of Darjeeling Estates. Perfect preparation Treat as any Darjeeling, without too much fuss but do not add milk. Drink and enjoy this tea with time to spare. Preparation is simple. Pour boiling water over two or three teaspoons of dry tea to a half litre tea pot. Brew this for three to five minutes, not more, and drink. There is no need to investigate further just enjoy.
