Background

Ginseng 10% Oolong is a specialist Oolong from Anxi County Fujian China. We were drawn to this Oolong for it's sweetness. The first tasting of this teas shows a full well balanced mix of Oolong and Chinese Ginseng, I was never a fan of Chinese Ginseng teas they are usually bitter and unremarkable. This is obviously due to the high price of good Ginseng. Traditionally Ginseng Oolong is produced following normal Oolong production but as the tea is dried it is mixed with powdered Ginseng. This ensures the Ginseng will stick to the leaf and be released in the cup.

Perfect preparation

Boil freshly drawn filtered water and leave to cool for one and a half minutes. Add two teaspoons of Ginseng 10% Oolong to a small teapot, ideally around 400ml. Add your cooled water and leave the tea to brew for one minute. Your tea is ready. Fully empty your pot to serve. To get another steeping add water at the same temperature as before.
