Background

White Pearls are called Tai Mu Long Zhu in China, where they are considered a delicacy. Some of you will have seen Dragon Pearls before. White Pearls are the for Dragon Jasmine Teas. As such they are rare in the west. White Pearls are very soft to taste giving a fine balanced White Tea. After plucking and light rolling White Pearls are expertly finished into small balls.

Look out for the fine downy bud as the tea opens in your cup. You are looking at the finest White tea from Fujian Province home of White Teas.

Perfect preparation

White Pearls are simple to prepare. Bring freshly drawn filtered water to a mild boil. Leave this to cool for four minutes. Add two teaspoons of White Pearls to a small 300cl clay teapot. Add cooled water to the pot and leave the Pearls to steep for three minutes. Your tea is ready to serve. It is best to empty the teapot. If you want more tea just add more water to the leaves. White Pearls will easily make four pots from one set of leaves.
